Composing For Motion Pictures
Entertainer, Songwriter, Actor, Author and Educator. Shelley wrote and performed onscreen his composition "Lonesome Traveler" in the motion picture "Drifting Clouds", winner at the 1996 Cannes Film Festival.
Shelley brings his experiences and wisdom to the students at the West Preparatory Academy, Las Vegas and encourages them to “Stay In School” and avoid hard drugs.

ARTIST IN RESIDENCE
In 1977, Fisher was awarded a grant from the NEA (National Endowment for the Arts) to teach the Blues as 'Artist In Residence‘ in the infamous Cabrini Greens housing projects for the Illinois Arts Council in Chicago. The program took place in two middle schools (Schiller & Newberry), and was taught in two middle schools with circa 250 students participating who had been classified as “educational handicapped” by the school's administration. The program was highly successful.

THE CIVIL RIGHTS STRUGGLE
Shelley Fisher, is one of a few Black Motivational Speakers on the scene and a member at Author Central, Fisher was a major participant in Chicago during the turbulent 1960s, marching for racial equality while protesting against segregation and racism.
